劳埃德E号. 摩尔 Photograph Collection spans from 1950 to 2003 and contains slides, 打印, 底片, and model releases. A large portion of the collection contains images taken in Lawrence and 雅典 counties in 俄亥俄州. Also in the collection are images photographed during 摩尔’s service in the United States Marine Corps from 1950 to 1954, including while he was stationed in Korea during the Korean War, and his various travels in Canada, 欧洲, and the United States.

劳埃德·E. 摩尔 was born in Columbus, 俄亥俄州 on February 10, 1931. 摩尔 served in the United States Marine Corps from 1950-1954 and was stationed in Korea during the Korean War from 1952-1953. 战后, he attended 俄亥俄州 State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1957 and Juris Doctor in 1958. 摩尔 practiced law in Ironton, 俄亥俄州 from 1959-1996. 摩尔 was also a photographer, and he used his interest and skill in photography to help his clients by using photographs as exhibits in court cases. He also met with and photographed numerous individuals throughout southeast 俄亥俄州, particularly those living in Lawrence County. A selection of those photographs was published in the book Face to Face: The Photography of Lloyd 摩尔 (newbb电子平台 Press, 2003). 摩尔’s photography was exhibited nationally and internationally, and some of his work is now part of collections at the Huntington Museum of Art in Huntington, West Virginia and the International Polaroid Collection in Cambridge, 麻萨诸塞州. Select exhibition 打印 of 摩尔’s work are housed at newbb电子平台’s Kennedy Museum of Art.
